Nick has been having three bassoon lessons a week for the past three weeks. Tonight was his audition for the Tacoma Youth Symphony. We won't know the results until the first of September however, he was optimistic that he did alright. The main conductor of the symphonies commented that Nick had improved since last season and that he should keep up the work with his private instructor. I think that might have really struck a cord with Nick. I have been trying to help him realize that sticking with something will lead to the results you are looking for. This was positive reinforcement.
Today was orientation for Nick at his high school. Since the school has been closed for two years it was exciting to see the changes that occurred during the remodel. I think this coming year will be a good one for the kids. Nick seemed excited about school starting. I think he is a bit bored.....
All the best,
Scott
