Then why do I feel so blue?
My sphere of family and friends have had a rough go this year. Certainly there have been some wonderful events.... three of us got married! and some of us got new jobs..... but some of us have seen the inside of the hospital too many times, some of us have had our jobs taken out from under or feet and some of us well.... we just have had a rough go.
That being said it is Christmas (well just about) and it is that time of year that bring out the best and worst in people. Shopping this year has been fairly easy.... it's tough finding that perfect gift for your new wife.... when she is a practical type and would be just as happy with a new toaster as she would be with a diamond trinket... ok not really but that is what she says....=) it's tough when your daughter is a thousand miles away and you cannot tell her in person just how special she is to you. It's great that your son is living with you and you can tell him how much he means to you and how proud you are of him for making some of the tough decisions that he has made recently...... it's great that your parents are close by and out of the hospital and will spend Christmas eve with you......
